Los tonos menores distorsionados casi fúnebres están presentes a lo largo de toda la obra de Black Sabbath. Pero este tema es uno de los que más miedo engendran en el repertorio de esta legendaria banda. La canción está inspirada en una sombra oscura que vió el bajista de la banda, Geezer Butler, después que Ozzy le diera un libro sobre brujería. El libro desapareció al día siguiente.
