Esta es una canción muy ambigua, las interpretaciones son varias, desde que trata sobre la adicción a las drogas que Robert ha sufrido, sobre la depresión o incluso sobre el abuso sexual.
Y aunque esas interpretaciones no dejan de ser posibles, por la que yo me inclino es la que dice que la canción está basada en una recurrente pesadilla que Robert tenía de niño.
Él siempre se quejaba de que las canciones de cuna (lullaby) que supuestamente deberían ser canciones que te hagan relajarte y dormir en realidad siempre tenían un final muy turbio.
