Puesto #1 Bruce Dickinson cuenta que originalmente, después de leer la novela de Aldous Huxley, Brave New World, pensó que era un gran título para un disco. Sin embargo, conforme la producción del disco avanzó decidieron hacer una canción completamente inspirada en el libro que complementara el álbum y la idea del título, por lo que Bruce releyó la novela y escribió la canción. La novela de Huxley retrata una falsa utopía la humanidad ha alcanzado su punto máximo ya que es saludable y avanzada tecnológicamente. La guerra y la pobreza han sido erradicadas, y todos son permanentemente felices. Sin embargo, la ironía es que todas estas cosas se han alcanzado tras eliminar muchas otras: la familia, la diversidad cultural, el arte, el avance de la ciencia, la literatura, la religión y la filosofía.
